I toured my apartment 3 or 4 times before actually ever signing the lease. My apartment is a long ways from the street, backs up to a champion ship golf course, only shares one wall with another tenant, ect.

Every time I stopped in was during the day.

My error. Apparently there is some sort of outdoor dance club/meat market/beer garden that is about 800 yards from where my apartment is and the music is BLASTING loud. So loud that even inside of my apartment with a radio on I can still hear it thumping away out there.

Needless to say, I'm not happy about it. I wanted to relax on my patio with a nice cold beer by the otherwise quiet night is interrupted by music being belted out at 120 decibles with some chucklehead DJ with an IQ of 60 throwing in a "Yeah yeah yeah!" every 30 seconds.

:|

I'm checking into the leasing office tomorrow to see WTF is going on and if this is a regular thing.

I CAN'T be the only person in the area that is annoyed by this.

Here's a pic of my view from my balcony: http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/viedit/balconypansmall.jpg

That sucks being the first night in the new apartment. I'd be ticked if that was a frequent event.

Ummm I think that might fall in under disturbing the peace. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, although I don't have to give permission to ATOTers :p

I got to thinking about it....

It ***might*** be a prom or some sort of senior party or something. It's been about a decade since I've been to a prom, and for us they were usually in April/very early May, but I guess it's a possibility.

Like I said, there's a golf course behind me and I'm thinking maybe they are having the prom at the clubhouse.

I'll see what happens tomorrow night.

Damn that would suck.

I hope it's a rare occurence (prom, company event, etc.).

Otherwise how do you like Phoenix? Have you visited Sedona, AZ yet?

That sucks, hopefully it doesn't happen all the time.

It does help to tour apartments at a couple of different times. I wish I had toured our apartment at dinner time. I toured during the day, if I had toured at dinner, I would have noticed it smells like the kitchen of an Indian restaraunt in the halls. We're talking massive amounts of curry. Plus, if you open your window or patio door, the odor comes into the apartment. From 5pm to about 8pm is a no open window time at my house. I heard there were a lot of Indians in the area, but damn, I feel like I'm living in Bombay.

Is it in the 100's yet?

Sorry, can't help you with the noise situation.

But if you ever get sued for medical malpractice, I can hook you up with a good lawyer in Phoenix.:D

We've hit that a few times already this year. They're forcasting us getting to 108* by Friday, and cooling off to 104* on Monday. Oh yeah, summer's just around the corner. I'm so glad I work at night and get to miss most of the high temps! :D

Gonna need lots more  to keep you cool here in the summer.

Depending on where vi_edit lives, it might be the graduation party (or just some people throwing a Memorial Day party). I think ASU is already out for the year, but alot of high schools have graduation next week.

I say leave 'em be the first night, in case it's a prom/graduation party like some people say. However, if they're still making noise in a couple days...phone call time. (Or sniper rifle....HEADSHOT!)
