On most vBulletin sites I visit, the little down arrow in front of a thread title to take you to the first new post works really well. I don't think I've encountered major issues with it.

On ATOT it almost never works. It always thinks that way more posts are new than it should. As such, the feature is totally useless for me.

Is this a known issue?
 
Same thing happens to me. I can read all posts in a forum, leave, come back 5 min. later, and all the threads I read are showing new posts, even when there aren't any. Sometimes it puts me back pages earlier than the last post I've actually read. I've had multiple posts of my own in a link and clicking on new posts will bring me back to before my own previous posts. This is the only forum where I have this issue. It's not new either. It's been like this as long as I've been a member.

I just left the forums (rebooted PC after AV update) came back and this thread showed new posts with my post being the last one made.
