That's the idea of these contests - make them monthly so if someone can't participate one month, then at least they can participate at a later date. I'll be looking forward to any pictures that you take.

There have only been two submitted thus far. Submisison dealine is at the end of this week, so hopefully we just have a bunch of procrastinators instead of people not wanting to participate .

Hopefully that's the case, I'd hate to only see 2 pictures for AT's first, unofficial photography contest.

I'm trying on this one but I'm having trouble coming up with ideas. I was on the foothills of Mt Rainier today and people were having a snowball fight which I thought would be awesome but I didn't get a good shot off. Hopefully I'll be able to come up with something good tomorrow.

That's cool.....just remember that the shot can be absolutely anything you enjoy during the summertime, so it's a fairly wide open theme.

Looks like we had 2 late entries, and since I'm up at this time of night, I went ahead and threw up voting. This means that any late-comers will have to wait until next month's contest. Thanks to everyone who submitted a photo to get this off the ground. Hey, atleast the odds are better!

i was going to submit one from my vacation, but i ended up driving 14 hours back to ohio yesterday and missed the deadline im in for 1 next month.

hey blurred, thanks for setting this up. got off to a slow start, but im sure it will pick up in subsequent contests. sorry I couldnt participate in this one even though i've been very excited about this idea since its inception. I procrastinated during the first week of the contest and got unpectedly busy at work this past week.

I wanted to take part too. I had a couple of ideas for photos, but either the weather or obligations always interfered with my plans. I'll try to get an early start on the next one, and I think having the full month next time will give more people time to get something for submission.

I had a picture I was going to submit but had an impossible time getting to the forums so I couldn't find how to submit pictures. I'll try for next month.

I agree. I think the monthly contest should be in OT.
This is not a photography forum, it's a forum about digital cameras and video cameras, under the general heading of consumer electronics.
Someone clear this with a mod.

I had a thought to get more submissions earlier although it might cause problems with your personal time. I'm currently on vacation and while I had a picture that I liked a couple of days prior to the end of the submission period, I didn't submit it because I thought there was a possibility that I would take something better. Obviously this backfired and prevented me from even submitting but the point I'm trying to make here is, I would guess most people are going to wait until the last minute to submit because they can't replace their submission.
