First Job Interview Tomorrow :)

Well, its official. After having my resume in distribution for one week now, I have been in contact with a dozen or so people, and as a result; my first job interview is tomorrow afternoon. I've been in the military for almost eight years. This is going to be a new experience for me. Its actually the first time I've ever had to go through the interview process. Hopefully everything will go well. I'm a little on the nervous side, but I think I'll do fine. I hope 😀

Wish me luck!!

Just remember, don't be too honest. Just tell em what they want to hear (ie. I'm a very hard worker, I enjoy all tasks, etc.), and you'll be fine. 🙂
I know I've blown at least two interviews in the last little while as I be too honest, such as telling them what I think of Novell as compared to Microsoft. hehe

Make sure that your fly is zipped... This happened to me once, luckily, I got lucky *wink* ....
I wish... Best of luck!

Be sure to take a sip of water beforehand, my throat was so dry - I was like *cough* *cough* 🙂

Good luck!

Dont worry if you get shot down by your first interview. It happens alot to people because they get nervous. Just try your best and best of luck.

You definitely need to ask the guy what his policies are on Friday and Monday absenteeism......and don't forget to mention that you need a desk near the door so you can get the fvck out of there every weekday as quickly as possible. If that doesn't get you the job, just point to the picture of the woman on his desk and say, "Who's the cvnt?" 😉

Whoever asked what the position and job is for.. its for a Network Equipment Installer / NT Administration position

Thats about all I can say 🙂

Of course, right after I started this thread, and logged offline, I recieved a call, and now have another interview scheduled for Thursday morning, for a network administration position

I'd have to say, having this security clearance sure is nice 😉

wow.. it went quite well..

I've heard too many horror stories.. and this was not even close..

I dont think it was your standard interview though..

It was basically a government contractor doing the interview...
She told me about the project they were hiring for, and explained what all would be involved...
I told her what I had experience with, and what equipment I had previously installed, configured, and such..

Overall, it went well.. No more than 20 minutes

I have another interview with another organization tomorrow
🙂

It feels good to finally have gotten the chance to sit in front of one of these people, and experience it for myself..

I've been in the military(Army) for almost 8 years now, and I've never had to "interview" for a job before. Its a totally new experience for me.
