Hello all,
My wife and I just purchased our first home and wanted to set up the house before moving our stuff in. (we have about a month to do this)
I have done research but wanted to run it by people that are much smarter than I am when it comes to networking.

Its 2,500 square feet, 3 story. (not sure if the floor plan helps).

I have read that there are many options for us to tackle this and I'm wondering what options might be the best for our circumstances.

We are most likely going with Ziply fiber that has a "Fiber 2 Gig" plan. They offer their own Wifi 7 Router + WHW which Im guessing means "Whole Home Wifi" which is a Mesh/node layout? I might not be understanding their market speak.

We were thinking of instead of renting their equipment, just buying our own router. There are soo many routers to buy that all have different specs.

Are there certain specifications/numbers I should be looking for and if so what range is going to be best for me.
Im afraid of having the router on the 2nd story and it not having a good signal on the other floors.

I understand there are things "Wifi over Coax" and "Wifi over Power" but maybe a mesh/node setup would be better or is that overkill.
We both game a lot, and she works from home.
I am open to the fact of running wire if need be but if i dont have to thats great as well.

Load ≈ 2 gaming rigs, a small home server (at some point), 3 TV's (with one being in the garage), + random phones, tablets, Echo's etc.

There is no budget, cost isnt an issue so all suggestions are doable.

Thanks in advance

Assuming that the Entry would be somewhere in the Entry I would there a Good WIFI 7 Router.

Then lay a Fiber or CAT 6 to one of the corners on the Main level (see the arrows by clicking on the inserted pic).

Then install a WIFI 7 Mesh on the other side of the floor where there is a second arrow.

As for the Upper lever it hard to know without trying since each environment contemn and build material is different.

Either two meshes (as indicated by the arrows) will do the Job, or it might need to run another wire/Fiber to the Upper floor and put Access point and a mesh on the other side.
