Well, it seems I wasted the last few hours of gameplay. I wanted to let everyone know about it so if they wanted to attempt the mission they could take the necessary precautions
SPOILER: I accepted a quest to find a missing person. When confronting a usurer who lent him money I was told that I could go to this island and find his missing axe and for that he would help me "find" the missing person. I accepted. Upon getting there you must go through a dungeon and defeat some "hunters" upon leaving my character is stuck and cannot move. even using no clip mode I am stuck. There seems to be no way to exit the mission WITHOUT getting stuck. After exiting the game autosaves and once you make it to the island the only way to leave is to go through the mission.
