trying to smear your political opponents by associating them with the action of some guy who went out of his mind..and did so long before any current issues is simply misguided.

I don't recall any nationally recognized Dem figures raving & making innuendos to their base about second amendment bullshit...

The same can't be said for Repubs.

We both know this to be true, obfuscate as you might.

Whether or not their creation of a poisonous atmosphere had anything to do with the Giffords shooting is speculation, but the whole episode resulted in the Right toning it down, which actually grants them more credibility rather than less.

"If we can't get what we want at the polls, then we kill you!" doesn't look good on anybody. It never was quite like that, but the attempt to intimidate was obvious.

A model being easy for your ego to accept does not imply that it applies. My reality being outside of your experience does not make it an impossibility.

I am smart. It's something I've gotten used to. The relative positions of everyone else is independent of that fact. Whether I'm in surroundings that have been run through a high-pass filter or a low-pass filter, my intellectual capacity doesn't change.
Judgements of others' intelligence is made on the totality of the data they provide. That the collated data of past experience also suggests that the stupidity of stupid people causes them to have problems understanding smart people, and that such is commented upon, does not imply that the affirmation of that consequent is the only criterion.

But at least you are consistent, you have stated P&N is merely your toilet. If that is the case, your posts are your stool samples, and your stool samples indicate a very fucked up diet and disease.
