Yep. Lose the AC, radio, etc and cut that thing down to 2000lbs and I will be a happy camper 😛

Lose all that in the Miata and Miata will go 0-60 in <6 seconds.

Plus, there are big payoffs in handling, braking, fuel economy, longevity, etc as well.

Getting cars lighter isn't cheap, but the benefits are great.

On a side note, the first Lotus Elise was delivered today (19xx lbs). 🙂

Well Elise wins the competition hands down... but the price tag is doubled...

Meh, looks nice but with no turbo ill pass. Too bad the razor isnt coming out, now that i would of bought in a heartbeat.

True enough, true enough. Sweet little car though.

Looks damn sweet, especially considering the price. I really thought this might be my next car, but I just don't think I can wait for it.

Honda S2000

2.0 liter, 240hp

that's 120hp per liter.

Pontiac Solstice

2.4Liter, 170hp

that's 70.8 hp per liter.

Not even close to comparing it to the S2k. The S2k is much a nicer car altogether. And the discussion stop right there.

Meh. This isn't any worse than a Miata. It's actually very clean and functional. I like the black and tan two tone.

What I want to know is how long it will take them to boost it from the factory. Hell they are already juicing the 2.4 in the Saturn Ion Redline and the new Cobalt. They boost it for under 25k and that's all they'll sell.

Because, as we all know, specific output is the ONLY measure of a vehicle! 😉

i guess the black on brown doesnt look right

and it also looks like it has too much empty spaces everywhere

And it's also $10,000-$15,000 more and GUTLESS unless wound to insane RPM's.

OMG 120 hp/liter!!!!

I'm going to slap one of these babies on my car, since it makes 180 hp per liter. And the discussion stops there.

I wonder why it was limited to 25mph. Hmmm.... probably it sucks, that's why.

Elise > S2K > Miata > this junk

</ignorant comment> 😀

This specific output stupidity never seizes.
I bet if Pontiac put an LS6 under the hood (hmmm 😀), you would still be here saying that S2000 is so much better because it has more HP per liter.

Probably was afraid it would fall apart against the wind resistance.

"The prototypes are sufficiently advanced...."

I guess reading is not a strong point of some people

Beautiful, but they really, really need to resurrect the exhaust they had on the concept.

Oh, and make the S/C version available from launch.

I hope you're trying to be an idiot.

The only thing that matters his hp/weight, how they get that HP means NOTHING.

How about an electric engine, no displacement at all! Take that S2K fanboi!
