S-10s are crap? Almost everyone and their mother has one over here. They are in pretty high demand in the used market too.

A lot seem to be modified. They are like the Honda Civics of trucks.

I think they look pretty good. Wise move on the part of GM. Interesting that they would go with an I-5, though.

you wonder why they didn't just look at the I6 and design the truck to fit that.

The I6 they have now (for the Trailblazer platform I blieve) is a pretty big and beefy motor, at least the one I saw at an auto show. I am not quite sure they would have been able to squeeze that into a compact pickup. However, if the I5 puts out better numbers then a comprable V6, then more power to them; no reason to have a V6 or I6
