Nice! The features offered on this are amazing. Bluetooth, XM standard, Bi-xenon headlights, 17" wheels, 270hp. Gorgeous car.
My only complaint is that it's still FWD! But I guess you'll have that, it being based off the Accord.
Yes, and? The Accord is the current benchmark in it's segment. It should make an excellent platform for an entry-level luxo sedan. I'm not too keen on the side profile, but the front and rear facia looks great - interior as well.Originally posted by: FrustratedUser

More than based on an Accord. It is = Accord.

Isn't the TSX the European Accord? Or is it the Japanese Accord?

My point was that the US market gets to pay premium for an Accord. And many seems to buy the concept of Acura = luxo sedans.
Besides that. It's a great car, no doubt.
Ok, for some clarification. The global Accord platform has actually spun off into 3 different platform sizes. The smallest is sold in Japan and Europe (the TSX is based off this chassis, but with a redesigned interior and the European 2.4L I4). The US Accord gets the medium sized chassis, while the US Acura TL is based off the largest chassis.Originally posted by: Kenji4861
US Acura TSX = Japanese Accord
US Acura TL = Japanese ???
TL is definitely a nice car... but.. $30k+...rrrg.
Yes, the new car. Here?s the scoop: There are really three different Accord platforms floating around on the world market. The Honda Global Midsize Platform, as it?s called, comes in narrow, medium and large. The European and Japanese Accord comes on the narrow platform. Our larger Accord comes on the medium platform. And the large is for the Acura TL.

No doubt this will be a hot seller when it debuts. All you folks doubting Acura as a 'luxury' marque need to get a clue--walk into an Acura dealership and you'll have a better buying experience than BMW and Lexus guaranteed. Everything standard, short option lists, good value for the money...no one can beat Acura in this regard. My dad recently decided on a new MDX even AFTER he drove the V8 Touareg. He felt he was getting more for his money with the Acura even with a $50k budget.
If you want a RWD track car get a Nissan 350Z Track. Anyone buying a TL shouldn't give 2 sh*ts if its FWD or RWD--Honda/Acura always uses equal-length driveshafts so torque steer is never a problem, and understeer shouldn't be too much of a problem under most driving conditions.
I only wish Sprint PCS offered bluetooth phones now...
