on a different topic, is it true what I read, that GM has taken ABS and airbags of its list of standard equipment?
This meant GM couldn't pass off one of its infamous rebadge jobs using a reskinned Tahoe and some big plastic "H"s stuck to the tailgate
Although we found the H2's cabin comfortable throughout the duration of our test drive, we couldn't help but feel that for nearly $50,000, the H2's material and build quality are below par. Low-quality gray plastic abounds, the door panels flex and a rap on the dashboard sounds about the same as knocking on an empty box of Corn Flakes. The console-mounted shift lever is made to look like those found in multi-million dollar corporate jets, but grab a hold of it and you'll find that, despite its metal color, it's plastic just like the dash. Not only that, it can be moved about in its moorings even while in Park ? not exactly the rock solid, industrial feel its appearance suggests.

no, it comes with both. I believe it would be illegal to not put airbags in a new car.
That was the point. They want to make hummer offroadability available to the general public, the $80,000+ H1 was a little inaccessible.Originally posted by: Demon-Xanth
More like the H1/2. It doesn't look like it has the abilities that were listed as required when the hummer was designed for the military. The H2 looks like it'll be strictly a civilian deal.
Whats wrong with the Sierra frame? it's the strongest of ALL the 1/2 ton frames, the Ram may look tough but the 1/2 Ram has been all looks for years. This meant GM couldn't pass off one of its infamous rebadge jobs using a reskinned Tahoe and some big plastic "H"s stuck to the tailgate
I like that line there. Very true. Is this H2 based on the Avalanche truck frame, which is based on a Sierra p-up truck frame? That is very disappointing.
