First DMC4 Review!

I'm pretty excited for this game. I really ejoyed DMC1, DMC2 was a mess, and DMC3 was a ton fo fun (albeit rediculously hard). The review if from GamePro in Germany. Here are the details:

Score: 85/100 (for comparison: DMC3 SE got a 87/100).


Graphics:
+Characters
+Beautiful animations and effects
- flickering shadows and edges
- sometimes too bright

Sound:
+ A good mixture of Rock and Classical music
+ directional/ambient effect
+ Good (English) synchro
- often repeating tracks

Controls:
+ Good controls
+ Camera
+ Lock On system
- A bit chaotic

Game design:
+ Non-stop action
+ Upgrade system
- Backtracking!
- No innovation
- Can become tedious

Story/ Game world:
+ Beautiful Setting
+ Cool cutscenes
- Story somewhat chaotic
- Bland main villain

Overall:
+ Main Game
+ Two Characters
+ Many side missions
+ Additional Goodies

Motion Sensing support:
The Sixaxis controller's motion allows for in game camera control.

sixaxis for controlling camera? hope you can turn that off heh.

i wonder what they mean by "chaotic".

I suppose they mean the controls can be a little complex to use and with the twitchy nature of Devil May Cry games (especially 3) I can definitely see why they could say it's "chaotic" though I don't feel that's really a con.

Hell, I'll just await reviews from reputable sources who actually review finished code.

I played the Demo, and it was great fun. A bit repetitive in that Kingdom hearts way, but fun. It feels great to combo a guy and just slam him into the ground with your Demon Arm.
