Don't you just love technological advancement???? Sounds nice...3-4ghz would mean we would need to start seeing them in 2nd quarter of 2003...if I am not wrong the intel roadmao should have us at those speeds by then, right??

hehe. Really its good though, but i dont NEED a superdooperputer till the Fall semester but mine currently sucks so i want to get one now (xp2100, a7v333, 512 of Corsairddr333 and other good stuff....) but its just hard to think by then theres going to be something almost twice as fast! Scarry. Just 8 or 10 years ago 66mhz was fast! :Q

They just demonstrated that it's possible to use .09 micron last month. They are SO far away from finishing the design for a .09 P4. I believe they are just starting it.

My guess is that we won't see this for at least a year and a half.

The hammer will have been out for a long time when this puppy gets released.

HAHAHAHAHA ROTFLMAO!!

Hammer Killer? Yeah, this and 'YAMHILL' !!

Any more vapour in this thread and we'll all pass out

Hammer=working silicon now
Intel=non-working Lab samples

Prescott will be definately more signficiant than Northwood was, and it sounds cool, but Hammer is definately a more revolutionary product and Prescott will no doubt have its hands full.
