"The sucky part is if you didn't know her at all before this. If you met her at a random bar and got her number and don't really know her at all, it'll be a turn off just because in that case the first date IS a first impression. If it wasn't fun, thats whats gonna stick in her head as her image of you. However, if you had any background knowledge of each other, then she'll understand that it wasn't your fault and readily go out again.
Good luck man"
Huh? Are you female, Stone Cold? I'm just curious because you affirm your statement there as if you know women very well. Are you really female?
I know that statement would not apply to me at all, as a female. I for one would be more turned off if his tire went flat few minutes before our appointment and then he shows up late. That alone would make me not even have much fun with the whole date or not want another date at all.
However, with the circumstances mentioned in this case, the only way I would turn this guy off is if he acts like a wimp as he has by opening this thread. I can understand that he's inexperienced, but come on . . . that's excessive whining. A guy who stands up and gets things fixed whilst getting to know me more impresses me more than a wimp who's getting all too nervous and trying to impress me. A date is supposed to be something fun . . . and you learn through trial and error. Other girls may perceive it differently, but that's how most perceive it, I believe.
