First computer, please check it out

I'm new to this site and I just built my first computer. Its not mine though, but here are the specs.

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.0 ghz
Mobo: Asus P5P800
Memory: Corsair DDR 1GB PC3200 400mhz 2x512
Video: Gainward Pro/600 TV/DVI GeForce FX 5200 128MB DDR
HDD: Western Digital Serial ATA 7200RPM 8MB Cache 160GB
CD: Antec DVD+/-RW
Moniter: Viewsonic 19" LCD VX900
Case: Black Scorpio Case? (Got it @ Frys.. It has about 6-7 fans)
KB/Mouse: Viewsonic Internet Multimedia KB/ Black MS Optical Mouse

Thats pretty much it. I installed a program that came with the mobo that monitors temp. My cpu fan is spinning at approx 2500 when it said ideal is 5000- however it says 2500 is ok. Is this a problem?

Secondly, I was told without XP service pack my computer will only read 130gig. When I get the other 30 gigs, can I use partition magic and configure my storage?

As of right now, I havent done much to get the 30 gigs. It didnt show up when I was installing xp and partitioning my hd, but this is another topic. I just was curious to know if I made an ok computer. Thanks for your reply Cheesehead.

Would've gone with the NEC Dual Layer 16x when it comes to DVD burners.

Other than that,
