It was only a matter of time. 🙁 Well, thick or thin, we're still with you guys.

OTTAWA - Four Canadians are dead after an American plane accidently dropped two bombs during a training exercise in Afghanistan.

Eight others were injured in the blast. Two of them are reported to be in critical condition.

The American F-18 fighter dropped the bombs during a training exercise near Kandahar Wednesday.

Reports indicate that the victims were members of the Edmonton-based Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.

This is very sad news. More planning, better communication...lots of things could be done to help prevent it in the future.

BTW, I hope it doesn't happen than an uncaring person takes this tragedy and turns it into another way that he can talk bad about the US ...

Too late. And from the looks of the previous thread on this topic, it has also been turned into a way to talk bad about Canada as well. Pathetic. :|

🙁

Wow. So I guess it shows how so many feel that us service-members are worthless pawns/tools for you to use as you like...even in death 🙁

🙁

i wonder who was holding the laser designator... gotta feel for him/her and the pilot of the plane, as well as the deceased's family.

Funny, I don't see anyone using this as an opportunity to slam the U.S.

Instead I've seen:

A large percentage of Americans saddened by this tradgic accident and offering condolences
A small percentage of Americans using this as an opportunity to mock Canada

A group of Canadians saddened by this accident, grateful towards the first group of Americans, and pissed as hell against the 2nd.

Sorry. I was talking about in real life (here at Berkeley)

Every time an American gets killed by friendly, everyone and their grandma takes the opportunity to say "Ha ha, they shouldn't have been there anyway...stupid Americans" 🙁

Funnily enough when I think of Berkeley I don't tend to think of people who live in 'real life'. 🙂
