If fan headers are important to you, take a closer look at the Gigabyte and make sure you're going to be happy with it.

I ordered the P5B this morning and that was my deciding factor.

Really looks like a great system. You've upgraded to the level I would have liked. But it really would have been wasted on me as I'm by no means a gamer. I do believe in purchasing beyond my needs as it makes my systems last much longer. But everyone has different needs. Really nice system you've picked out.

From what I've gathered, the P5B model is a great motherboard. I can't contrast it with the DS3, but regardless, it's a great motherboard.

My preference is ASUS mobos.

You could consider this Gigabyte mobo instead.

The Gigabyte one that you posted is the one I am comparing. If you meant the DQ6, I don't need it because I won't be using SLI.

The reason I am weary about choosing the DS3 is because when I checked the thread about it, it seemed many people were having problems.

Also, is there any reason prices will drop early 07 for these parts? I can wait till then, but I don't see the point if there won't be a significant drop in prices.

I just built the same rig with the DS3 and it's a killer board with no issues.. shipped with bios F6 and booted right up with my Corsair PC6400 .. it scored 9324 cpu points in 05 running stock on 1 gig of ram and a e6600..

I give it 5 stars..

Oh make sure your ram is 1.9v because that is the main issue because poeple are useing 2.0 +v ram and just about all the boards bios is not set for that.

Okay thanks the info, but can someone answer me other question?

Okay I changed my video card from a 1950XT 256MB to ASUS EAX1900 CrossFire 512MB. What do you guys think? Any more comments/suggestions are great.
