I was starting to complete the building on the new system and noticed that the case does not have a case speaker. The question I have is, should I go ahead and boot up without and go by what is on the monitor or should I obtain a case speaker for the first bootup or until the system is running correctly. Is there anybody that has built a system without the case speaker.

Your help would be appreciated.

Tks

You don't need a case speaker to sucessfully post and boot your system. Some MB's, like my A7V333, have an option in the BIOS for a "boot analysis" advisor that tells you what the system is going through during the boot process. This would also tell you of any errors generated. However, that can be turned off (it's a real Pain to listen to). At that point you would just go by the normal beeps that the system generates to analyze any possible problems. Most modern MB's don't require a pc case speaker for this. If your board has the aforementioned voice option and you want to listen to it, just hook up your regular speakers to the mb audio out connector.
