Anybody know where I could find any of these for cheap? Been trying to find a good diagnostic and file clean-up program, but the cheapest I've been able to find is $20 to $45. Also takes up 32 to 65mb of space on my hard drive.....

I'd really like to find one of the above, but are there any alternative programs out there that don't take up up so much space on my hard drive, and don't cost so d*mned much? A freeware download would be nice.....;) -kd5-

I have a copy of FirstAid 95 Deluxe complete package with all the manuals and crap. Kinda used a couple of times. Give it to you for $10 shipped. (It's heavy)

Kinda leary about going to an older version than 97. I'm running Windows 98SE, for what it's worth. Would the diagnostics be any good? I've already got a good virus scan. What's the disk space requirement? Also want to use it to clean up garbage files. I dunno....... -kd5-

In my experience, tried two versions... it causes more problems than it fixes.

Listen to Rich,
I've got two versions I'll give you. However, don't blame me later on.
The Crash guard version of First Aid 2000 actually crashed my system twice every hour. These programs work well when you don't use them.
You gotta ask yourself...do you want a program changing and correcting things and you don't really know what it's up to.
As far as cleaning garbage files...Get McAfee UnInstaller. It's the ONLY program by McAfee that I'll allow in computer (I'll never allow their Virus Scan in system ever again). The UnInstaller is only about $15.
