First Abortion Clinic Bomber gets the needle tonight! Hooray!

Oh, but I'm going to heaven!

STARKE, Florida (AP) -- An unrepentant Paul Hill boasted Tuesday on the eve of his execution for the shotgun slaying of an abortion doctor: "I expect a great reward in heaven." "More people should act as I have acted," Hill added.

Barring an unlikely last-minute stay, the 49-year-old former minister will be put to death by lethal injection Wednesday evening for the 1994 murders in Pensacola of Dr. John Britton and his escort.

Buh-bye, freak-zealot. May you have a good old time w/the Islamic bombers and other wastes of oxygen that also believe that "great things await me in heaven b/c I killed people!"

I like this line, though; makes you think:

"We're very concerned that Paul Hill's call for violence may be picked up by any person to whom God speaks," said Abe Bonowitz, the head of Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty. "That could be prevented. It should be."

Ban organized religion? Nah...it's against the Constitution...but it couldn't hurt. It's a thought.

It should be known that even though I am pro-life and think that abortion is wrong and that it is murder, I also happen to believe in the dealth penatly. I can understand what this guy did and why he did it, but I also think this guy deserves to be put to death for what he did. Killing somebody is not the way to stop more killing.

They should drill a hole in this guy's head and then suck his brains out. I think that would be a cool irony 😉

Could you point out where, or would that be to much work? Maybe your reading comprehension skills are lacking? 😉

yeah, it took me a couple reads to understand what you were saying becuase it seemed...well...impossible for all those statements to be true.

i think his problem was with (this was my hang-up) "killing somebody is not the way to stop more killing" yet you seem to be for the death-penalty and think this man deserves to be killed.

ahh, thanks for the explanation patboyx....I'm for the death penalty as a punishment for certain crimes. Killing vigilante style (as this man did) is different than the government putting somebody to death after a fair trial. I can see where this man would think he is doing the right thing, after all if he kills this Doc, the Doc can't perform any more abortions, however for this man to do vigilante justice on his own is wrong.

Seems like a sad day overall to me.
People were murdered, the taxpayers had to pay for the investigation, prosecution, conviction, sentencing, imprisonment, and finally execution of the murderer, and all the jackass that violated the most basic tenets of his own religion can say is that he's going to Heaven!

sure - u saying first you believe in death penalty, then you say that he deserves to die; then you say killing somebody is not the way to stop more killing

i now see that your saying that the anti-abortion guy killing to stop abortion was wrong ... but I interpreted (and really not incorrectly with your ambigous phrasing) that killing (with the death penalty) is not the way to stop more murders.

Funny how you're glad someone is dying.

Sometimes, killing is not wrong.

no, it is always wrong.

but sometimes it is the least wrong thing to do.

Sometimes, killing is not wrong.

Just like he thought killing the abortion doctor wasn't wrong, killing him isn't going to bring back the doctor nor did killing the doctor stop any babies from being killed.
