First 9600XT Numbers !

It won't even beat a 9700np. It will beat a 9600 pro

I wonder what the test rig was? I saw a review of a 9600pro with better numbers than that.

Numbers are strange because they chose a stupid way to test it, plus their graph is messed up, a 20 fps difference makes no difference in the length of the bar. Quake 3 at 1024x768 is so cpu limited its not even funny and so is ut2k3 botmatch, only test that isn't cpu limited is the flyby which shows a 20 fos difference

The most interesting thing about that is that it's an Elsa card.

I didn't know Elsa were releasing cards already, let alone ATi cards. I knew they were back, but this is the first I've seen of their products.

Not bad. I still doubt it'll beat a 9700 Pro, though.
Same here.
Its a good card. But no amount of core speed can make up for the bandwidth difference between it and the 9700s.

it won't, that comment in anand's article was just more of his usaual missinformation. regardless, it looks like a damn nice card for the price.

oh on a side not, the graph on that link are just comical with the quake3 and ut2003 framerates on the chart with 3dmark scores. 😀
