Interestingly interesting. My mother ordered a Dell Pentium 4 system a few days ago. When I go over there to hook it up I'll have to take a look on the inside as well.

wow this certainly calls for an AY CARAMBA!! :Q :Q

ive seen someone get a 100%oc on the b0 stepping but that was with prometia (phase change cooling) , imagine what this chip would do with a pelt or phase change :D

cant wait to see the sandra shots :)

//edit
gotta love that abit it7max :D

Very interesting. I find the part about the chip only needing default voltage or slightly over that to be the most fascinating part, really. I mean, the guy almost has a 90% overclock, dude!

I'd like to know the temperatures of it, though, as well as Sandra and 3dmark scores.

Unbelievable! :) Wonder if he can push that up to double it's rated speed... only 5.8% speed increase to do it :)

apparently it isnt
the magic 100% overclock doesnt seem possible yet
maybe if the temp was lower...

It's either me a few minutes ago, or this guy, when he overclocked, but
one of us seems to have smoked some crack at that point...

Frget it.. I take my words back.. It was P4 who had a joint.. Not us :)

if a 1.8 ghz c1 stepping can go up that high
i wonder how high a 2.53 with c1 stepping can do?

If it's true, it's one amazing overclock. 3.4Ghz!! Whoever's the lucky owner better not be using it just to surf the net and play solitaire :p

What's the best stepping to have for each level of the P4 chip right now? Xeon's included...

prolly around the same...it is just that 2.53 is guaranteed to run at 2.53GHz with default voltage

I just learned that the CPU in my mothers soon to be delivered Dell has a P4 2400 on the 533 bus. It should be interesting to see where the CPU goes since it has an 18x multiplier.
