Firmware update for seagate disk?

I have always wanted to do the same thing, I looked around for a while a found nothing, but going from AAC to AAD does not seem like it would be much of a change, might not be worth the time you spend looking for it
 
According to my smart software monitor, the seagates do have the ability to be firmware upgraded but I haven't ever seen such a program in real life.
