Firmware 3.10 announced for PS3 - Yep, Facebook support

I am totally looking forward to this feature, just so I can get back at all of the people I know who were constantly spamming me with Mafia Wars and Farmville updates before I blocked those apps.

I tried updating my PS3 and it said I have the latest version already. Maybe it's coming later tonight.

tried about 3 times to update mine but I kept hanging around 41%

Mine went fine. Don't do Facebook at all so this update didn't really add much for me other then the friends thing.

I was in the middle of playing MW2... now this and I cant paly anymore...

I set my Facebook stuff up. For some reason, it posted something on my Facebook about flOw...which I haven't touched in a very, very long time. And that was all it posted. Hmmm...

I've just noticed a bug with this firmware. Seems it breaks functionality for Nyko Frontman wireless guitars. Mine stopped working right after the update. It just glows solid red and won't connect with my PS3. The LED usually glows blue. Seems at least a couple of people on the official Playstation forums are having the same problem.

Not true.

This is all about advertisement. Sony and MS want you to broadcast what games you are playing. Right now, you purposely have to follow either company in order to see what they are advertising. With this change, they can penetrate into all of your friends accounts whenever you have an in-game status update.
