Some people have reported that Uncharted freezes at regular intervals with the 3.0 firmware.

I have a ceramic white that I imported from Japan. It works fine.

He was talking about how he ended up with the fake controller, the differences between the physical difference between the counterfeit and the real one (button colors, LED indentions, etc).

checked my controller. I'm good, got a legit imported White DS3.

When the DS3 first came out, in Japan first, I just had to import one. Think I got it on ebay. Very solid controller, well built. That extra weight really helped make the DS3 feel like a superior controller over the SixAxis. Ended up buying a US model Black DS3 when they came out too.

Still waiting on the firmware update. I'm gonna wait for 3.01 and see if they'll fix all the "problems" you guys mentioned. But mostly I just don't wanna have games freezing when I play. I don't have Uncharted though.

Any word on an update, or a fix for Uncharted? Just have bought a PS3, and so far its the only game I have. 🙁

I don't think they'll fix it that fast. If you have some money to spare, buy something off PSN for the time being, or pick up a bargain ps3 title like Dark Sector. I know you shouldn't have to, but sucks to not have any games to play.

there are tons of demo you can download from psstore...I wish they would d/l faster thou. Are they any speed diff between wired and wireless connection? Most demos are only 1g or so, but they take a long time to d/l, and I have 12mb comcast.

I posted a fix (two, actually) for this a long time ago under something like "Slow PSN?". Search, and you shall receive.

Wired is generally a good bit faster.
