Spore is #2 . . .Crysis is #1.

I agree with some of their picks, but I don't agree with placing a typical, albeit excellent looking, first person shooter as #1. We have enough FPS games out, we don't need more. We need more quality strategy, RPG, and adventure titles.

Well, I think Crysis is most anticipated because it looks "too good to be true" so we'll have to find out if it actually lives up to the hype.

To bad they have that typo in the #3 Description.

Classes should be races.

Crysis
Spore
ET: QW
(Supreme commander looks interesting)
UT2K7
HL2: EP2 / portal/ TF2

Atleast the video game industry isn't like the movie industry :D

But there is always that satisfaction of shooting people with a nail gun *pause* in the face *pause* in slow motion :D

My game list:

UT2007
Spore
White Gold: War in Paradise
Natural Selection 2

Field Ops
Ancient Wars: Sparta
Hellgate: London
Witcher
Stargate: Worlds
Crysis
Armed Assault
Enemy in Sight
Stalker
AVA
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
Far Cry 2
RACE: the WTCC game
Assassins Creed
Bioshock
Heavy Rain
HL: Ep 2
Alan Wake

Top 4 are "must haves", the rest are "look promising". Obviously some are not going to be out in 2007, but you can never be sure what will happen to release dates.

I love NS.
White Gold is the sequel to Boiling Point: Road To Hell, which I think was a great concept, although flawed. Hopefully the sequel can build on the first game and make it even better.

I'm anticipating Crysis more for the gameplay. I'm not getting Vista + a DX10 card any time soon, so I want to see how the fully customizable gun and suit works, and the AI. Also, from what i've seen so far, there is going to be a huge variety of enemies and situations.

Crysis may be the anticipated game, but I dont want to play the anticipated game, I want to play good games.
Am seriously worried they will slouch on gameplay to get out a pretty game on time.

Also looking forward to Supreme Commander, but that looks like one game where they wont sacrifice substance for sparkle.

Obviously they intend to keep us waiting "forever". An apt title.

I know its not going to happen but I seriously wish 3D realms would release the rights to someone else and let them make the game.

Agreed. FPSs are becoming a dime a dozen and the last GREAT RPG? ... BG II? Sad. I am looking forward to a couple of these games tho.. CC3, Bioshock, Supreme Commander, HL2E2, and Spore. No mention of Alan Wake? I'm realllly looking forward to it, although it may not be an '07 game ... 08 maybe?

UT2007 is certainly the top game on that list for me. I like what I'm seeing about it being "faster paced than its predecessor." Hopefully we'll see a return to the classic UT style gameplay.

There is tons of games on there I want to play.

ET: QW (might finally bring me away from BF2), C&C 3, Supreme Commander, Crysis, UT 2007, HL2 Ep1 (mainly TF2, as Quake TF had probably my favorite multiplayer gaming of all time).

And to a lesser extent: STALKER, Frontlines Fuel of War (haven't heard of this until now, but looks great), Hellgate, plus other ones not listed on their list, but they may be 2008 games.

So figure about $10 games at $40-50 each (you know some will flop and be bargain bin quickly :)), plus no way in hell would I be able to enjoy high resolution graphics without a video card upgrade, and maybe more. Ugh, need to find $1000+ for computer stuff in 2007.

who REALLY cares? :p

the site is PAID by the Game Publishers to *create a buzz* about their upcoming and crappy unfinished Beta Games that will take months to run on most systems.

letsee ... Doom3 had UNbelievable Hype and turned out to be a BORING but "polished demo" of the Doom3 Engine

This year ... NWN2 had a great buzz ... took two months to patch to Beta and hit the bargain bin

Gothic3 and DM M&M had a great rpg/adventure buzz ... DM M&M is finally patched and G3 still isn't

FEAR's xpack was well anticipated and it still has no patch though it is buggy [but playable]

HL2's EP1 was horribly uninspired - even compared to HL2

i think the ONLY game that had great *buzz* that actually shipped in a working state and fulfilled at least some expectations was Oblivion

screw the buzz and they can shove their list
:Q

:D

i am looking forward to games that are actually finished not an upcoming list of 'maybes'
that are really little more than *Paid Advertising*

it will be a Cold day in the Inferno before i am motivated to rush out and grab a new PC game on Day One ... :frown:

... anymore. :|

i think i learned ... have plenty of games to play [explore the mods and *classics* and try different kinds of games] ... watch the forums for opinions similar to mine... and look for sales ... play the Demo ... much better late than never and now much better than Day One for Full [fool] Price.

it's gonna take a lot for the Publishers to Earn my trust ... again ... maybe Bethesda ... maybe

Crysis and UT2007 are the only games I am looking forward to in 2007 that I've seen so far. Its really sad thats all us PC gamers have to look forward to in 2007. I guess some who like all types are games are in for a treat but not alot of ppl are into all types.

Hellgate: London, Bioshock, STALKER, and Crysis? If all four come out this year and are as good as they sound, this year may beat even 2000 with Deus Ex and BG2.

Way better than 90% of that other junk they listed.

Alan Wake doesn't have an official release date, AFAIK.

What I REALLY want is a 20-hour-gameplay Max Payne 3. But since that will probably never happen, I hope Alan Wake (by Remedy) really does turn out to be THAT good. I fire up Max Payne 2 sometimes time and again and am in awe of the amazing attention to detail, the voice acting, story, the total lack of bugs and how great the game looks even after all this time.

Cinematic action games FTW!

For multiplayer, Team Fortress 2 looks solid.
