check it.. I think Andylawcc might have said this before, but here it is again.

we now have 2 recent reviews with Kyro, the last with Sharky extreme. I suggest taking a look at this one though, becuase I don't trust sharky's benchmarks! however his review was much more informative in terms of info on Tile Based rendering (it showed another advantage that I hadn't thought of before).

how many transistors does the VSA-100 have??

assuming the kyro has less transistors then the VSA-100, wouldn't it be very possible that this runs cooler, and is capable of higher mhz then the VSA-100?

of course, it's entirely possible that I'm assuming too much, that I should look at physical chip design before assuming this, however I don't know that much about chip design, so you'd have to bear with me!

if we could overclock this card to V3 3000 or 3500 levels, can u imagine how much better this card could do?

think about it, it would have 333 Mpixels real life fillrate at 166, and of course, it's tile based rendering would pump that up quite a bit (using the numbers posted here, it would be close to a gigapixel/second effective fillrate).

or if we could get it running at 183mhz (v3 3500 speed), it would be running at 366 Mpixels/second fillrate, and would most assuredly do very well against all current 3dfx cards, as well as the Geforce MX, SDR, and DDR!

and that's ONLY 183mhz!

jump down to .18 micron, and you open another can of worms! of course, you probably need quick SDRAM too.. ie, if the RAM is rated at 6ns, it would be safe to get 166 (if the core allows it).

I'd love to see how well it does overclocked!

thx for props, but I think it makes a world of difference of it is posted by 1337! ;P (yes, I am jealous :) )

meanwhile, digit life reviewed it too, so did another site, (its either hexus, insane-hardware or ga-hardware,,, I really forgot)
it could be found in AT news anyway.

Kyro cards are pieces of crap. The only thing good about them is tile rendering.

well, at least they innovate rather than just pushing the clock speed and price (of course I am talking about nvidia)

Good point Andy, buy innovation won't get you anywhere without performance.
