Fireworks Photos from Seattle's Show

Canon 24-105mm lens (most shots were ~50mm, so could have used a 50mm cheaper lens).

1-4sec, f20, iso 100

manual bulb mode with shutter release cable

you are very talented. I enjoyed looking at your portfolios....are you a pro or just a big time enthusiast?

Nice!

Some of those would make awesome backgrounds. Could you post them somewhere where we could get the full sized pictures?

i'm a photography noob so whats the trick to night photography and gettign stuff like that? Does there have to be something for the camera to focus on or do you have to turn autofocus off and do it manually?

also what other settings need changed?

i have a Nikon D50.

You're going to need to do long exposures, so a tripod and a cable release or delayed shutter is a must to eliminate shake.

Depends what you are focusing on, for fireworks that are far away I just put it on infinity, but if you have a foreground subject, then you can do either auto or manual.

Leave the flash off!

Iso 100 for low noise.
