Firewire port question.

Most motherboards have 1 1394 built into the rear of the mobo and then 1 or 2 for the front panel of the case.

If the case im going to use doesnts have the firewire port, can i get an adapter to hook into the extra firewire ports for the front panel and move them to the rear into one othe slots at the back of the case?
