Firewall Rules

now that I think about that, that is a good question. I just assumed he did it himself to limit people from getting online, like at a business.
You should look up a whitelist... every site people are allowed to go to and everything else is blocked

It is in a business. I think that the Firewall is Nokia, a Nokia IP but I can not remember what model. The guys who manage the Firewall made a tried yesterday and got no luck. That was the excuse that they gave me (different IP).

The Firewall and Router control is in another city and I?m in the help desk team in my facility, so I?m the one who make the arrangements to get this working.

Mapquest.com only shows two "A" records in their public DNS. However, if they are redirecting you to another IP address, that could be a problem.

You might try a proxy server, with a whitelist of "allowed" sites (via DNS name) and then have the firewall allow access to the proxy.

Popular proxy servers I have used are squid (free) and Microsoft's ISA (not free).

I'm not sure if they will be willing to do it with a proxy because it will need more changes, but it is an option.
