Firewall question

I am curious if Firewall built in router and Software Firewall can protect from virus get through?\
I have two Router one is Seimen SpeedStream 2602 router which I am using right now and other one is linksys wireless-b router still in the box.

It depends on how the virus spreads. If it goes over Microsoft shares, you should be pretty well protected. But if it requires someone to open an email or something, you're in trouble (if you open it 😉). Having an up to date antivirus along with the router and firewall is definitely a good idea.

throw in a good antivirus program and you about as protected as you can be.

Thank you..I do have ZoneAlarm Pro 4.5 and NAV 2002 so I think my rig should be ok.
