Firewall help - Sonicwall

Hello,

I have a Sonicwall TZ170. This firewall has an OPT port which I am using in transparent mode for public IP addresses to be used for VOIP phones. I need to set up 7 VOIP phones, but I only had 4 usable IP's from my block of 8. So I requested an additional block of 8 and received it from my ISP. Here's the problem:

When I enter in the rest of the usable IP addresses from the original block of 8, which also includes the WAN router address, it takes it, the phones work fine, etc... However, when I try to put in any of the usable IP addresses from the second block of 8, I get an error saying: "Error: Add Range Pair". I am wondering if I can somehow add these IP's to the OPT port and get it working, or is my only option to scrap them all and get a new block of 16 from my ISP and re-setup the firewall and settings. I'd prefer not to do the latter.

Thank you.

Maybe it is a subnet issue where they are supernetting yet again or something and you haven't adjusted your settings?

what is your subnet?

The Sonicwall ZT170's have had a lot of issues that weren't there with the Soho2/3's
IMO you should look at replacing it with one of these
Somthing better">http://www.fortinet.com/doc/FGT60DS.pdf</a>
These have much better throughput than the Sonicwalls, not # of user limited all the features work as they are supposed to including VOIP and VPN. Much more configurable
and on and on.
You could also run them together thereby if one fails the other is there to maintain network integrity.
