hi guys,

i'm having trouble seeing my servers on the network. the servers are not behind the firewall, by my workstation is.

to help better visualize...

cable-----switch----servers
( spacing ) \
( spacing ) firewall --- switch --workstations

so how do i get it so i can see the servers on the network again?
oh yeah.. the servers have static ips , where as the workstations use dhcp from the firewall.
the servers cant see the internet.

thanks

is the firewall a new addition? what kind of servers? if not webservers or mailservers, no reason to have the topology you show there. should be INET-----Firewall---switches-------servers and workstations. Unless you have some reason to firewall off your servers, of course.

you'll need to log on to the firewall, and forward whichever ports inside that you need. If it is for mail, you will want ports 25 and 110, for the web, port 80 from the servers to the workstations.

i'm using a sonicwall pro 200 if that will help with my problems.
also i can ping the server but i cant see it on the network . skyiing thanks for the help but i have to keep the servers in front of the firewall.

I understand completely. Your first post did not explain the whole situation. hopefully someone with sonicwall experience will come along for you, or you could print out a manual and give it a try.
