Fires in Florida blamed on one DUMB ASS man.

Over here in Tampa, one county over from the engulfed Polk County, we can smell the smoke in the morning air. Our vision is impaired by a thick white fog that has nothing to do with a cool spring morning.

It turns out that the fire was started by ONE MAN. One man that SHOULD KNOW BETTER. Cubert Wayne Master, ironically a former volunteer fire fighter, was illegal burning trash in drought conditions this past weekend while winds were a fairly gusty 14 MPH.

Apparently he had forgotten to get the trash cans to the curb on trash day and had to find a way to dispose of his old Playboy collection that his wife told him to get rid of.

OK. Maybe not. But still.....

The Q*Bert Master (that was his name, right?) faces three second-degree misdemeanor charges.

11,500 acres are currently charred and 150 firefighters are put to action every day at a cost of as much as 1 milliion dollars a day. Interstate 4 is shut down essentially freezing traffic between Tampa and Orlando.

And this guy's only getting three charges pressed against him?

At least the fire wasn't caused by overclocking or someone that forgot to take the plastic off the bottom of a HSF!!!

I was watching the news this morning and they said in the area of the fire, while they were controlling it, they found three other people burning trash yesterday.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH THESE PEOPL?!?!?!?

These have got to be the same people I work with on the tech line everyday. :|

He's got worse problems than the &quot;legal&quot; isues. Under Florida law he can be held responsible for the cost for fighting the fire. According to the news he's looking at over $1,000,000.00 per day in costs. Add to that civil suits for damages to other peoples property since they KNOW who started the fire and this guy is bankrupt for life.
