Firehouse Subs - Best Chain Sandwich Ever

Fritzo

Lifer
Not sure how wide spread this chain is, but if you have Firehouse Subs around you, it is officially Fritzo approved. Absolutely fantastic.

I ate there once when they had a special with coupon. It was ok, not bad, but not that great either.

There's one close to me, we tried it a couple of times, once was OK, the second the bread came out all soggy, they use some kind of steaming method to heat the meat before it's added to the roll, if it's not done just right the roll gets all soggy plus the prices were rather on the high side. Their meats are defiantly a step up from Subway but so are the prices..

Must be YMMV. I ate at the one near me not long ago and got a hot sandwich. I thought it tasted OK, but the portion size was very skimpy for what I paid.

Never heard of them. As far as sub places go, Jersey Mikes and Potbelly's are at the top, followed by Jimmy Johns, with Subway in a distant last.

my pops has a hand in that company and it's creation.. 🙂

they started out in casino's and casino buffet's believe it or not lol...

Every time I do carryout, the bread gets soggy as hell. Potbelly bread cuts the top of my mouth every single time. Subway is pretty bland but u can't beat the value - $4 lunch deal. Jimmy Johns is horrible but their bread is delicious! Haven't tried Jersey Mikes yet

I don't really eat out a lot but that chain was good the two times I ate there.

I like private delis or bringing my own.

That said, I am not picky about food.

There are a few here in the Dallas area. Eaten at the Frisco/Plano/Addison ones and they all rock. Haven't had a bad sub there and service is always friendly. A few bucks more expensive than Subway but anymore now most places are $7-8 for a meal and drink.

Used to be within walking distance of the one in Frisco, by Pizza Hut Park, lived in the residencies. Now I have to drive a few miles to the one in Addison. Get them when I'm close.
