Noticed this little yellow triangle in the corner of my browser - after a double click it turns out to be the "check for an update automatically" feature.

Do I need to remove and reinstall the browser, or is it o.k. if I run it over the current installation?

I read on their forums that you need to uninstall/reinstall. But your profile and extensions will remain in place, so you don't need to worry about that.

Well, I unistalled v0.9, then installed v0.91, and it keeps asking me to install v0.91 as if it is still v0.9! I even unchecked "auto update" under Tools -> Options but it still bugging me. I restarted the browser and made sure it is indeed v0.91! Damn... I guess Entity was right after all. =/

I didn't uninstall/reinstall.

I haven't noticed anything different over 0.9 yet

A stop gap solution... Add this to your userChrome.css file. #statusbar-updates{ display: none !important; }

The solution to this problem is in MozillaZine forums official thread on 0.9.1.. but it's hella slow now so I can't link you to it. It has something to do with changing something in "about:config" I think

Your browser has indeed been updated to 0.9.1.. it's probably a minor bug.

9.0 blew ass. I'm back to 8 because 9.0 didn't have my theme or extensions 2 weeks ago.

LOL...I was running 0.9 before and the available updates indicator showed that nothing was available. I just updated to 0.9.1 and the available updates now shows that 0.9.1 is available. Nice of them to notify me of an upgrade AFTER I upgraded. :p

Edit: Slashdot posted the news about 0.9.1 being released and someone in the comments section mentioned that this is a known bug that they left in to prevent extensions from being twacked in 0.9.1 or something to that effect. ::shrug::
