Firefox users - Here's how you can streamline the AT forums. UPDATE: now can remove threads started by unwanted users!

I wrote a script that streamlines the forums.

If you prefer the streamlined look, you can get the streamlining script and the directions for installing it at my website.

The script's been updated. It now will remove any thread started by myjaja by default. The list of users whose threads are removed is configurable.

From the RTFM page:

• The header and footer of the page are removed, along with those annoying stickied threads at the top of each forum. The script is configurable so that you can enable stickies, or either the header or footer (or both, or all three) if you want them back.

Very nicely written script (quite concise), but it really belongs here.

And the stickies. But if you don't mind scrolling down for half a page before you get to any new content, you're free not to use it.

thats nice, but mine is called "21 inch monitor version" and it looks a lot better

that is a good idea though. firefox is the best.

meh. i just rotate my 2005fpw and dont have to scroll at all...

or if i dont feel like it i just leave it as is... at 1680x1050 i barely have to scroll anyway...

but, i'll give u props i guess, some ppl may need it...

If you want to keep the stickies but remove the header and footer, download the script, open it in notepad, and change the line that says:

var removeStickies = true;

to:

var removeStickies = false;

Save the script, open in firefox, and install again. You'll have stickies but no header/footer.

It's going to be pretty hard to filter out a simple link to the correct forum? If you douche bags would pay attention every now and then, you'd see that it's pretty much all I do anymore.
