Firefox to IE, Outlook to ?

Thunderbird really is fantastic. Its news reader in particular blows OE's away.

I've never used Outlook, found it far too bloated for me as I never had a use for a calendar/scheduler.

I'm using Thunderbird right now, and it's ok I guess. Not much different from Outlook, although I imagine it is much more secure.

not if you do IMAP, IMAP support is horrible in outlook.

What are you talking about IMAP rocks in Outlook. I use 3 different IMAP servers and spam filters have no problem. Never had errors.

does anyone know if NAV2004's and Zonealarm's email checking etc works 100% fine with Thunderbird?

Thunderbird doesn't have a built-in calendar feature, but you can get one as an extension.
If you use Linux, Ximian Evolution is a big step up from Outlook.

Download/Install Mozilla Calendar -- The calendar requires the Mozilla Application suite, Mozilla Firefox, or Mozilla Thunderbird to install (also works with webDAV for calendar sharing).

NAV2004 works for me... I don't use zonealarm tho
