I am using Firfox as I type this, but I am sad to say, my brother cant use it at all. Because his profile isnt displayed in Firefox (it was NOT imported from Mozilla 1.73). I HAVE to keep Mozilla 1 on my PC so he can access his profile and email account. I even have to use Mozilla email for now, but will be switching to Thunderbird soon.

My question is, will Mozilla make a Firefox suite like Mozilla 1 has? complete with Firefox, Thunderbird, etc?

Yes there _is_ a suite, it's called Mozilla. Why bundle the apps up after they spent all that time splitting them? If you're using multiple Mozilla based applications, using Mozilla suite itself is probably better on your memory usage. :)

Mozilla isnt Firefox though, they have different ways of doing things, and is easier to use than Mozilla 1, and just plain looks kewler. PLUS the extensions are awesome! Featurewise, I like FireFox TONS better, I just would like to see FireFox, Thunderbird, and a chat program all in one :(

That's incredibly stupid. It makes the program larger and non-removable for those who don't want it and it makes it harder to manage and debug for the developers.

What benefit do you think you're getting from having them be one big program instead of 3 little ones?

Oh yea, only the smart people use tools that require them to pay to get rid of banner ads...

Plus they probably want people to understand that Mozilla.org is more then just about making browsers.

They have developed a cross platform UI-building platform. They use Mozilla, a cross-platform COM, XUL/XML, and other stuff to build Thunderbird/firefox/whatever and you can use it to build GUI's for your applications, too. Check out komodo for a example of a app using Mozilla technology for it's GUI. It runs on Windows, Linux, Solaris.
more stuff

That being said, Mozilla is the suite thing, turns out it's not that great of a idea. Most people end up getting stuck with a bunch of programs they neither want or need, but effects the speed and stability of their browser. Makes developer life more difficult, too.
