I have 23 tabs open in firefox right now while i research...tabbing is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice because I don't lose my space on the taskbar and its all right there in one window. And all of those tabs take up only 26 megs of sapce, whereas once instance of AT forums takes up 38-31 megabytes of space on IE...

The only problem is unless i launch in safe mode FIREfox doesn't work (.92 had this problem for me and 1.0PR didn't fix itt) and it immediately crashed and gives me the "send this data to microsoft" window before it laods up~ If that could be fixed it would be FF for life...

But i love the tabs and low ram usage (ram i remember is something mozilla had a huge problem with in my experience...it sucked it even worse than ie)

if you like firefox, you'll prob like mozilla even more (esp if it doesn't crash on you ;) )

One thing about firefox/mozilla is that it will use empty ram to cache websites. So often it looks like it's very bloated, when it's not.

So sometimes people think that it's because firefox has memory leaks... I'd just like to point that out, because somebody somewere will mention how their firefox browser has a memory leak.

To see your cache usage type about:cache in your url bar.

FF rules because it's now installed at this Mac I'm using. This is where tabbed browsing come in even more handy than in windows. It's nice to have som familiar stuff to work with, specially with the extensions working here as well.

I had the same problem with FF crashing after installing a plugin (I can't remember which one). I ended up having to run safe mode too, till I did the following:

- Clean reboot
- Remove FF from the control panel (make a backup of your bookmarks first)
- Search your machine for all folders containing FF (program file & C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Mozilla)
- Reboot one more time
- Reinstall FF
- Profit!

If that doesn't work, you can always try using the non install copy of FF - http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/moz....1/Firefox%201.0PR.zip

This last method is also handy when your company won't let you install anything, but doesn't say anything about downloading it and just using it.

Good luck!
