Firefox question regarding WMP plugin

everytime I go to sites such as youtube.com to watch videos in firefox, I cant see the videos since I dont have the correct plugin. But which plugin should I install? If I click on the plugin icon it will bring up microsoft windows to download WMP, but I already have it.

YouTube and Google Video use Flash

Also some sites like YTMND.com require QuickTime (or some equivalent) to play sound in the background.
