Firefox problem.... popup windows.

Firefox 3 is my main browser but its driving me nuts. Everytime I click on a link that pops up a legitimate window such as new topic or reply links on this forum, that window freezes for 2-3 seconds. I think it has something to do with javascript functions in Firefox. It doens't happen with IE or Opera so it has t be Firefox specific.

Any ideas? I have the version 3.03, the latest I believe.

I don't have an answer for you problem but I can report that I am using Firefox3.0.3 and opening the same sort of things is instant for me on three different computers. you might want to post this question at the Mozilla forums you will probably get better results.

Try disabling all the Addons and seeing if that works.

Thank you. It was Social Browse. I love that plugin but not enough to tolerate insane lags.

Glad I could help. Maybe you could reinstall it to see if that gets rid of the problem.

Firefox is good and the latest browser with good technology. It will take sometime to get use to it. But once settled its a good browser to work with. On pop up window, u have a special function to block the pop windows.
