Firefox page zoom feature

Firefox 3.0.17 on Vista Home Premium SP2. The whole-page zoom feature works great (like it does in MSIE) for my Momz, but unlike MSIE it does not preserve the zoom setting when Firefox is closed. IOW, she is forced to set zoom every time she opens Firefox.

Is there an add-on or something that I can install to enforce the zoom setting all the time? Or does Firefox 3.5 solve this?
 
Well that's weird. The zoom setting is preserved using Firefox 3.0.17 on my Windows XP machine, but not on the Vista machine. However, I also discovered that the zoom setting will be applied when you RELOAD the page.

i.e. open Firefox (on the Vista machine), zoom is NOT applied to home page. Press reload/refresh, the zoom setting is applied. Weird.

Anyway, I installed the NoSquint add-on and it works a treat.
