Is Firefox SLOW to startup on Android for all phones? I have a Droid Incredible and Firefox can take 5-10 seconds to startup.

I use Opera Mobile (not mini) for that very reason.

Firefox Mobile isn't really good enough for daily use yet.

Same, I switched to Opera Mobile from Dolphin HD a while back. Very snappy browser. Not as configurable as Dolphin HD, but very fast.

I prefer Dolphin Mini for daily use. I screw around every once in a while with opera with turbo when my connection is being screwy.

Yea, Firefox takes forever to load the app on Android. And you have to load it all the time it seems. Dolphin Browser for the iwn.

I used to use Dolphin HD/Mini but I too switched to Opera Mobile after the last big upgrade, it's lightyears beyond the other options.

One question for you Opera guys, is there a way to export/import your bookmarks? I'm about to upgrade to 2.2 and all my bookmarks will be blown away.

Opera Mobile is the only browser that uses the GPU and allows-in text copy and paste iOS style.

If you use Titanium Backup, it'll backup the bookmarks for you.

If you want to import bookmarks, Opera doesn't have any way to do it on the phone. You'll have to use Opera Link to sync with a desktop copy of Opera (where you can import your bookmarks to). Rather annoying but now that I have the bookmarks I want in Opera Mobile, I just Titanium Backup.

Don't know if it really uses the GPU but it's the smoothest by far of all the browsers for Android. Try going to the XDA forums with Dolphin and you'll regret it. Butter smooth with Opera Mobile.

Ever since they added flash support, Opera Mobile has become my primary browser on Android.

Thanks. I just decided what the heck, I'd re-enter my bookmarks again and got the 2.2 upgrade. I thought it factory reset your phone when it did so? I got the update but all my apps/settings were kept.

Opera uses hardware acceleration, it's one of the aspects it was touted on. Definitely buttery smooth.

Good to know, as that's pretty much the only gripe I have with Dolphin HD. Does Opera use gestures? I would hate to give those up as they're quite useful.

I don't know what iOS style is but Dolphin Mini has in-text copy from anything AFAIK. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what feature you're talking about.

No gestures on Opera.
