Firefox & Multiple Cores

Does anyone know if firefox takes advantage of multiple cores if you have that kind of processor?

Why do you need multiple cores for firefox?

Firefox is all memory bud, multiple cores are only going to help with multi-tasking with other programs while Firefox is open.

Browsers don't use much CPU resource. All they're doing is displaying pictures on a screen. The main system utilization comes from memory usage. If you want to improve browser performance, you're much better off getting more memory than waiting for multi-core optimizations for browsers.

You may want to let plugins use different cores. But other than that. It's more of a memory issue.

no, but it holds onto memory better and so performs better than chrome when using a lot of tabs.
