I noticed that if i copy a table from a HTML page when browsing with Firefox and paste it into Excel, it puts all the info into 1 cell.

If I copy the table using IE, the table is pasted properly.

Is there an extension for Firefox that allows this function?

I wanted the simplicity of just copying and directly pasting the information ala IE and Excel.

Then why not just keep using IE? :)

Firefox Extensions work very well to block malicious javascript, ads, and other stupid pop-ups. With Internet Exploder I had to run several programs and even then they weren't working as effectively as FireFox w/ the extensions. I used IE for like 7-8 years and just recently switched to FireFox.
