firefox: how do i clear those little icons next to my bookmarks?

some of my bookmarks have acquired the wrong icon: wrongicon.JPG

how do i clear them or change them?

i tried clearing my cache, but that didn't work. if i knew what they were called, i could google them 😕

works great 🙂 you clear the current favicon and just reload the page. or you can manually assign it to any icon you want.

I think they're called Favicons...ie, short for Favorites Icons

They're called favicon.ico IIRC.

why would you want to? I find it helps me find the bookmark I am looking for much quicker by glancing a them. Guess I am just a lazy SOB 🙂

it's not that i don't want them, it's that a few links are using the wrong icon (check the original post). my anandtech off-topic shortcut had an ESPN favicon 😛
