EDIT:

From the ftp:
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/fire...win32/en-US/index.html

We're not quite ready yet!

We're just as excited as you are for our upcoming release, but we're still putting the finishing touches on Firefox 3: preparing the new mozilla.com website, getting our severs ready for downloads, and doing our final pre-launch checks. You can follow our progress if you'd like!

The files in this directory are - for now - only meant to be used by our testers. Downloading them directly can harm our ability to distribute Firefox efficiently, and will also not be counted as part of our attempt to set a Guiness World Record for the most software downloads in a day.

If you'd like to be notifed the minute that we launch, please go to sign up for Download Day. Or just head over to getfirefox.com on Tuesday, June 17th after 10am PDT.

The FTP has a 3.0 setup file available. Does anyone know if it's the stable 3.0 version?

Is Opera the new "Hip" browser? 😛 - Used to be Firefox but I guess it got too popular.

How do I get rid of that damn "Most Visited" thing? It's where my bookmarks usually are.

Performance-wise, Opera eats FF 2.0's lunch. 3.0 is supposed to be much better in this regard, though.

Apart from performance-wise (although thats a great part of Opera), the reasons opera is so good is because:

1) the speed dial feature (absolute awesomeness)
2) copying a word then using the "paste and go" feature in the google toolbar
3) mouse 'wand' manourves, although i don't use them as much
4) clean design

BTW I just pledged. I'll give FF3 a try for a couple of days but i didn't like the skin for xp on rc3. does anybody know how to change the default skin to linux?

Hmmm.... as of 7:30 AM ET, when you go to the firefox site it still has FF2 available for download, along with a "sneak peak" at a release candidate for FF3. I'l grab it when the 'final' is out there.

It is...I got it, but it doesn't count in the record setting...runs great so far (even though I already had it, apparently)...
