firefox double-click opens new tab

you can double click under an inactive tab to open a new blank tab.

I'm not sure if it's an add-on that is making it possible, or if a fresh install of firefox will do it.

I hold down the right click and move the mouse up to open a new tab, and middle mouse click to open links it a tab.

I know, and it's irritating as hell. I open a few new tabs that way several times a day. My aim with a mouse is terrible.

On my mouse, I have the scroll wheel's left-motion click set to Ctrl+ and the thumb button to Shift+.
Ctrl+click = open in new tab
Shift+click = open in new window

And it's quite handy for file management.

My most used ones are open a new tab (up), close a tab (down), prev tab (up-left), next tab (up-right), scroll to bottom (down-right-down), and scroll to top (up-left-up), undo close tab (down-right), close window (down-left).

Did you know that some words on websites (usually underlined) can be clicked. They often cause the browser to display a different web site. Pretty neat stuff!
