Interesting about the page loading. I didn't realize Firefox actually delay it. That makes a lot more sense now though.
well, style sheets can only be applied properly once all the bits and pieces load.

Wow just downloaded Opera 11 ... blew me away!
BTW, Opera 11 is only a 13MB download...
Firefox 4 and Chrome are at 30MB? What the fuck did they put in there?

I know IE9 is supposed to be a HUGE leap forward and puts it seriously in the running with other modern browsers. But it just doesn't "feel" right using IE. That and I still don't trust MS to get security right in IE. Though I have no complaints about their security with Win7 for the most part so it's mostly irrational, I still doubt I'll ever use IE again.

hey its like microsoft security essentials is one of the top AVs out there... and less resource hog than good ones like ESET NOD. I used to use NOD32, and its still the best. I put it on my parents comp, but it slows down WAY to much. MSE is much lighter.
The biggest gripe I have is that in chrome, large complicated pages (like the front page of engadget.com) will not scroll smoothly while they are loading. Once its done loading all is well, but its rather frustrating sometimes.
The UI in IE is a frickin mess.

Yeah chromes a mess as well, the whole "less is more" just dosent work IMO.
I just use DD-WRT to block ads, trackers, and malicious sites, for all browsers and computers on the local network. I've even modified it to also block web-based anonymous proxies and URL shorteners (blocked a fake Facebook login page just last night for the stepdaughter).
